American Business Women’s Association Continues Clothing Drive to Benefit Scholarships May 17, 2009, Hyannis, MA -
The Cape Cod Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) has a continuous clothing drive to benefit its Scholarship fund. The drop off trailer is located at Macy’s in Hyannis, on the Rte. 132 side of the mall. The trailer is colorful and eye catching and is clearly marked.

All clothing, shoes and linens are accepted. The donations generated through this clothing drive will benefit the scholarship fund. Scholarships are typically awarded in August in support of deserving women who live on the Cape or Islands, must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and must be at least a second year student in their program. Last year, the ABWA was able to award three scholarships of $1,500 each.

Mission
To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition.

Chapter Membership. At ABWA's heart is our network of 1,400 local chapters where members meet monthly to learn, network and make friends. In chapters, members explore and test their abilities in a supportive and inspiring environment. By managing chapter meetings, working on committees and speaking before the chapter, members gain invaluable hands-on leadership experience.
